About the event
Some of Linach's musicians have repeatedly formed various bands through an association. The driving forces were usually Gerhard Dotter and Michael Dengler.
It all began in 1979 at the Harmonica Club's Christmas party with the Stausee-Echo on the initiative of Josef Dold. Michael Dengler, Gerhard Ditter, Erich Straub, Hans-Peter Rombach were there. Later Hermann Dotter and Agnes Fritsch née Dold. They also took part in the Fasnet and on New Year's Eve in the Michelhof. The Friday evening at the spring festival was introduced by the Stausee-Echo.
In 1982, the Mike Silver Band was founded as a successor to the Stausee-Echo. It included Gerhard Dotter, Michael Dengler, Norbert Straub and Peter Hupfer. The band performed in neighboring countries. The band performed up to ten times at FASNET. They also gave larger concerts together with the then very popular "Golden Show Band". This formation played until the mid-1980s.
The Sandstrand-Echo was founded in the early 1990s. The name arose from the lack of water in the drained Linach reservoir. The line-up included Gerhard Dotter, Michael Dengler, Jürgen Heine and Christof Trenkle. After his death, Norbert Straub and Christine Müller joined. Today, following the renovation of the Linach dam, the band is again called Stausee-Echo and mainly accompanies the Linach Fasnet.
