FAQ

  • Is there WiFi? Do you have cell reception?
Cell phone reception is almost non-existent. Of course there is WiFi, we live and work here. However, we have consciously decided not to extend the WiFi to the campsite, as we are in the middle of nature and we want you to enjoy that too. We have created our own little world here where you can unwind. So there is WiFi all around the house on the terrace.
  • Can you order bread rolls from you?
Yes, we have a bread roll service. You can order bread rolls the day before for the next day and pick them up from reception from 9:00 a.m. There are also small jams and Nutellas for sale. Why so late? We are a night business and work late into the night on weekends. To keep us fit, we only serve bread rolls from 9:00 a.m. Breakfast is available on weekends for groups of 10 or more people upon reservation by Friday Butter, jam, Nutella, honey, cream cheese, water, coffee 14.00 euros per person
  • Are there common rooms?
Yep, our side room opposite the restaurant. This is the shared living room and common room for everyone who is currently staying at the Michel (whether campers, holiday apartment guests or day trippers) - everyone is allowed in here. There you will find a television, a comfortable sofa, a table football table and a large dining table. Make yourself comfortable.
  • Can you buy vouchers from you?
Sure, either directly on site or you write us an email with your address and the amount. You can then send us the money via Paypal and receive the voucher as a PDF by email to print out yourself.
  • Are dogs allowed and how much do they cost?
Sure, we have a whole bunch ourselves. Just mention it when booking - 2 euros per dog/day Whether on the campsite or in the holiday apartments.
  • Can you pay with a card?
Of course, also with Paypal and you can also withdraw cash from us.
  • Is it always loud at your place?
During the week, especially when there are no school holidays, this is the worst place to be. The street is also not a main road, which means there is not much car noise. There is often something going on at the weekend. Every visitor, guest, holiday apartment resident, camper or other welcome guest is responsible for checking what program is on offer at the weekend. Depending on the program, it can get loud until 2 a.m. If there are events in the barn in the house, you hardly hear anything about it at the campsite - but you do hear it in the holiday apartments.
  • I've tried to reach you several times, but no one has answered. What can I do?
Check the website again and see if your question can be answered there. We are very busy in the high season, especially at weekends. We cannot answer all calls. If you cannot reach anyone, please send an email to info@zumwildenmichel.de We do our best to answer all inquiries as quickly as possible. Only if there is a concert, a wedding and weekend operations taking place at the same time, the best time to reach us is during the week. Just be a little patient. Please understand that we are all very busy at the weekend. Rest assured, if you write an email it won't get lost. We'll get in touch with you. And please note our opening hours and do not call the business cell phone number three times at 9:30 p.m. Some employees work in the office and finish work at normal times. We know when the phone rings. If we don't answer, the place is on fire ;-) Thanks!
  • Do you have toilets?
No, we have one folding spade for every 17 residents, which you then have to take into the forest, dig a hole, do your business and then bury it again. Of course we have toilets! And showers too. And a washing machine. We live here. 😂

If you have any other questions and cannot find the answer on our website, please check the Bubbletent website before calling or sending an email.
  • Can you sleep there in winter too?
Remember, this thing is a tent. It's cold in there in winter, but we've equipped the bubble tent with a heated blanket and you can rent it all year round.
  • If I've drunk too much, can I spontaneously sleep somewhere at your place?
Sure. Just throw a sleeping bag in the car to be on the safe side and then just ask the bar staff about the dormitory. There are 20 beds spread across 3 rooms and you can fall straight into bed and sleep off your hangover. Costs 15 euros if you bring your own sleeping bag.

  • How many people/animals live with you permanently and do they all work for you?
Phew...someone should count again, it changes a little every now and then. Roughly around 17 people, 8 dogs and 4 cats of all generations. Most of us help and work together. About half of us are permanent employees, some of our residents work part-time here. But we also have residents who simply live here and have a job elsewhere. But both residents and animals have one thing in common: they're all a little crazy :-P
  • How did the project come about?
You can read about it in the menu under "About us". Even before the opening, Urs and Ute were approached by a few helpers who heard about the project, and over the last two and a half years there were more and more helpers and we are now a medium-sized company with departments. One or two roommates/helpers simply stopped leaving at some point :D Our last new addition to the shared flat is left over from the last Heavy Michel Days.
  • I want to work for you!! What kind of job offers are there?
You can find the current job advertisements at the bottom left under "Jobs" . If you have an idea that you could implement with us, just send us an unsolicited application. • I have a job but still want to get involved somehow. How can I do that?
Cover letter! We always need help with events, festivals, house improvements, etc. If you are not sure what you can do for us, just write a text about yourself and what you enjoy doing. If you are good at crafts, for example, there is always something to do.
  • Do you offer holidays/parking spaces in exchange for money?
YES! If you help us, we will provide you with a parking space or a place to sleep in the house and a certain basic supply of food. Especially during the summer peak season, we need every helping hand.
  • Are the streets in your town wide enough for large vehicles?
Of course they are wide enough, even if they sometimes seem a bit narrow. Drive slowly before bends and hold your breath when someone is coming towards you, then it'll be fine :-P
  • I don't have a car, can I get to you using public transport?
A bus passes through here once a day.😝 No no, more often now. Drive to Furtwangen and from there get on the bus, which stops right in front of the house at the "Michelhof" stop... if I can manage it, soon I'll also go to "wild Michel" 😁
