Acoustical South

Deep in the south of Germany, in the town of Singen am Hohentwiel, one of the region's best, most consistent and most indestructible rock bands has been making a name for itself for over two decades: Acoustical South . Originally founded as a fun project to play a few cover songs on a western guitar in local pubs, it quickly became a band with its own profile.

After 5 albums, 3 maxi CDs, 1 live album (stylistically ranging from the singer/songwriter pop rock of the early days to the alternative rock of the last few years, which is strongly influenced by the 90's) and countless performances, including as support for world stars such as Deep Purple, Gary Moore, Uriah Heep, Whitesnake, Melissa Etheridge, Zucchero, INXS, Gotthard, etc., it was time for a longer, creative break in 2019, which the band used to write new songs and put together a new live program.

At the end of 2022, the 6th album "The old days are gone" was released: A return to the early years. Singer/songwriter/acoustic rock. With reference to the 90's MTV Unplugged performances by bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, REM, etc. And enriched with influences from country, blues and Americana, folk and punk.

It is the pure passion for music that has kept this collective together and allowed them to be creative for years. An emotional rollercoaster ride, especially live. Sweaty, intense and an absolute must for all fans of real, unpretentious guitar music.
