About the event
About the book:
»Depression is like each of us: unique.«
Andy Feind is depressed. And chronically so.
What began with a stroke of fate at the age of sixteen continues to be a dark thread throughout his life.
Doubts, tendencies to withdraw, self-hatred, losses and suicidal thoughts accompany him at every step - if he even leaves the house.
He started the manuscript of "Thought Storm" in 2009 and, due to depression, put it in a drawer after thirteen pages. Seven years later, he decided to take out the dusty manuscript, finish this book and finally show the "black dog" where to go.
With brutal honesty, shocking facts and the occasional twinkle in his eye, Andy Feind addresses an illness that can flare up again at any time.
The book was nominated for the German Self-Publishing Prize 2019 and the Schwarzwald-Baar Cultural Prize 2019. 😊
The author about himself:
My name is Andy Feind and I am depressed. I have been since 2001. Since 2016, I have been raising awareness about depression and suicide on social media.
My main job is as a professional speaker, author and certified recovery coach for people in mental health crises.
I've made a lot out of my depression and despite everything, it has left me with a lot of positive things. It's hard to believe.
The event will take place in the Geindelstube.
